In the  Burlington Community School District, all Edgenuity testing must be proctored. This is typical and common practice for online courses.

  • We will open a Google Meet every school day from 10-11 a.m. and from 1-2 p.m. Please click on one of the links to access the testing Google Meet and begin your test. (If it is a No School Day, there will not be anyone available to proctor a test).

If taking a test remotely (e.g., at home, work, etc.), students will join a Google Meet with their camera on during the test. Their Chromebook will also be monitored during the test. You also need to keep the camera on you during this time. Cell phones should be put away and are not allowed during this test.

  • Alternatively, students may come to the James Madison building and take tests in the Learning Center.  Please come between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. to take a test.
  • Students may move on to the next unit in Edgenuity while waiting for a proctored test.
  • Students may use paper notes during a test. Students may not use their phones, search the internet, or otherwise look up information during a test. Proctors will be able to see students’ web browsers via remote access during a test.
  • If you want to take a test at any other time between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on a school day, you can email virginia.ricketts@bcsds.org/. If she is available, she will reply and let you know how to join!

Important Note: Edgenuity does not list your test for teachers to unlock unless you have done the lessons and quizzes before it. If you skip lessons or quizzes, we will not be able to unlock your test.
