Located at 2132 Madison Avenue, James Madison Education Center was built for use as a middle school in 19XX. It continued to house James Madison Middle School until 20xx, following the construction of Aldo Leopold Intermediate School (now Aldo Leopold Intermediate School) and Edward Stone Middle School. Since then, the building has been renamed James Madison Education Center and now houses many wonderful programs, including VIBE. Check them out!

Green Iowa

The Sustainable Schools branch serves as a resource and catalyst for Iowa school districts, cities, solid waste agencies, and community colleges to build a more energized and sustainable future. Mrs. Sly and Ms. Hall are out and about a lot, but sometimes you can catch them here.

The BILA Care Closet

Former BILA students created this donation-oriented space where fellow classmates can access toiletries, snacks, prom dresses and other clothing, shoes and more. They’ve ensured future VIBE FIT & FLEX students will also have an option to find things they need.  We always take donations from the community as well.

The Learning Center

A large open space where VIBE FIT & FLEX students may come to connect with classmates or just have a quiet workspace outside their home.  Mrs. Ricketts is here to help.

VIBE Makerspace

Built using generously donated monies from the Greater Burlington Partnerships’ 2022-2023 Leadership class, the VIBE Makerspace will be an open space for students of all ages to come build, create, imagine and enjoy working with their hands & each other.

VIBE Virtual Classrooms

Even though the classrooms are online, we still have rooms for kids to come have the in-person experience.  Kids use classrooms during Thursday in-person activities as well as at the high school level for VIBE FIT.

VIBE FIT & FLEX Classrooms

VIBE FIT & FLEX students can come to JMEV to visit their teachers or participate in the in-person options FIT has to offer.

Everyone is welcome! Visit the office to check in or out, make a call or just to check in with Mrs. Bazel.
